SamCart

Samcart, an Austin company, just announced an $82 million Series B funding round led by Eldridge. Founded in 2014, SamCart enables businesses to sell digital products such as e-books and online courses directly to consumers. 

SamCart’s new funding will further expand its reach, diversify its revenue streams, and create a better e-commerce infrastructure. 

Diligent Robotics Inc.

Austin-based startup Diligent Robotics Inc. announced raising $30 million in a Series B funding round led by Tiger Global Management LLC. This new funding will expand Diligent Robotics’ development of robotic nursing assistants, which perform small tasks such as delivering supplies and other routine tasks. 

Founded in 2017, Diligent Robotics works to relieve pressure on nurses, especially following the Covid19 pandemic. 

Trace

Austin-based startup Trace just announced raising $47 million in a Series C funding round, bringing the company’s total funding to $65.2 million. According to the co-founder and CEO David Lokshin, revenue has increased exponentially by more than 300% in 2021 alone. 

Trace uses artificial intelligence to produce high-quality visuals and videos on youth sports. This platform advertises a do-it-yourself approach that parents can use to capture their kid’s latest sports achievements on tape. 

SailPoint Technologies Holdings Inc. 

Thomas Bravo LP, a private equity firm, announced a deal to acquire cybersecurity company SailPoint Technologies Holdings Inc., based in Austin. The purchase, valued at $6.9 billion, would make Sailpoint go private. This deal is expected to close in the later half of this year. 

SailPoint uses AI to prevent security breaches. Founded in 2005, this tech company now has over 664 employees in Austin alone, with 1,676 employees worldwide.
