Colossal Bioscience Inc. 

Founded 6 months ago, Colossal Biosciences Inc. announced raising $60 million in Series A funding helped with the contribution of billionaire businessman Thomas Tull, bringing their total funding to $75 million. CEO Ben Lamm co-founded this company in 2021 to bring the woolly mammoth back from extinction within the next four to six years. This organization is committed to restoring endangered species and working against the extinction of animals. 

Slingshot Aerospace

Led by CEO Melanie Stricklan, this Austin-based Aerospace startup just landed $25 million in Series A funding, bringing their total funding to $42 million in funding since their founding in 2017. Part of this funding will go towards hiring 40 new employees in the next year. The rest is set to go towards the commercialization of products and technologies, including space collision avoidance and communication platforms. 

Marqii

Marqii, a fast-growing startup focusing on hospitality tech just secured $4.1 million in seed funding. This round of seed funding will be used to expand their product innovation, address online operation challenges experienced by virtual brands, and build out their customer support. 

Since its founding in 2020, Marqii has seen a growth of over 600% and helped 3,000 hospitality businesses. Marqii helps the hospitality industry save time, rank higher in search results, track and respond to reviews, keep menus up-to-date through online POS integration systems, and attract more customers. 

Legion Health

Austin-based health tech startup Legion Health just announced raising $2 million in seed funding. This funding will go towards their B2B mental health marketplace, with investors pouring in from Y Combinator, UpHonest Capital, Modern Health, angel investors, and more. With over 800 mental health professionals across the nation, Legion Health is growing its reach to serve more tech-enabled healthcare organizations. Legion Health’s virtual network is used by hospitals, telehealth companies, and other healthcare organizations to serve customers.
