Austin software startup, Mobile Tech RX recently acquired another local startup, Claimbot for an undisclosed amount. Claimbot’s platform gives automotive and insurance professionals an avenue to communicate about claim filings, roadside assistance and payments. Claimbot was founded in 2016 and in 2019 received $615,000 in a seed round led by Google Assistant Investments program.
Mobile Tech RX uses AI technology to help set prices for repair, help with invoicing, send data to Quickbooks and more. According to Austin Inno, by adding Claimbot to the Mobile Tech RX platform, Mobile Tech RX will now be able to help technicians and business owners leave time-intensive and repetitive tasks to the chatbot, enabling companies to focus more on core competencies.
Claimbot is not the first company to be acquired by Mobile Tech RX. Last year, the software startup also acquired competitor, Dent Buddy and technician staffing app, HailGo. Looking forward, the company is interested in partnering with companies that will help give customers easier methods of finding out the cost of fixing a dent or blemish before they put their car on the market.
Steadily, an Austin insurtech company, recently raised $3.8 million in funding led by Matrix Partners, according to Built In Austin. Steadily enables landlords to purchase insurance over the phone without having to go through an agent. The company currently operates in 45 states and works with carrier partners to bring their existing policies to market. Steadily is able to reduce the time needed to purchase insurance down to minutes by automatically filling property data points concerning things like size and age.
The newly raised funds will contribute toward company expansion and developing tech systems such as water sensors that can instantly detect leaks. Furthermore, the company plans on growing their company from five to 20.
Trashless, an online grocery delivery system, looks to expand to the Dallas market and potentially other Texas markets as it nears more funding. Trashlass started as a small local Austin company focused on delivering farm fresh produce. As the company grew so did the focus, reports Austin Inno.

After a delivery, Trashless picks up the delivery packaging the next day, washes it, and reuses it on future deliveries to ensure nothing gets wasted.
As the pandemic progressed, more and more people were ordering their groceries online through grocery delivery services. In addition to higher demand, Trashless has raised nearly $56,000 through a crowdfunding campaign. It’s with these funds that Trashless plans to use toward expanding in Dallas, Houston and San Antonio markets.
