White Sands

Austin-based metaverse startup White Sands announced raising $8 million in new funding through two mints, creating virtual sales. Led by Adam Hollander and Brandon Brown, this metaverse startup sells online personalized homes, NFTs, vehicles, and pets. This new funding will create virtual community homes through NFT and Ethereum platforms. 

Mainsail 

Investment firm Mainsail Partners raised $915 million in funding, bringing their total funding to more than $2.2 billion. These new investors arise from high-profile charitable foundations and endowments. Founded in San Francisco, Mainsail opened an Austin office last year and has grown equal to the size of their headquarters. Mainsail focuses on supporting software startups.

Unmudl 

Unmudl, an Austin-based ed-tech startup, raised $1.2 million in seed round funding led by Stand Together Venture Lab. Unmudl plans to use this funding to expand its course material marketplace and network of community colleges. Unmudl partners with community and tech colleges to provide training and certification courses for students to learn marketable skills and find job placements. 

SEON Technologies Ltd. 

SEON Technologies Ltd., a fraud prevention startup based initially in London, has established its U.S. headquarters in Austin. Founded in 2018 by co-founder and CEO Tamas Kadar, SEON recently raised $94 million in a series B funding round led by Silicon Valley-based IVP. With this new funding, SEON plans to hire 12 new employees and continue to grow its resources to help fight fraud.
